I've begun a project entitled 'Print, Pattern, Colour' and as a start I have created some images inspired by Jordanian illustrator Shamekh bluwi. Above are some images of his work with this illustrations held up against nature and urban environments.
Thinking about the theme 'print, pattern, colour' and Jordanian illustrator Shamekh bluwi I used the illustration figured model and cut out the clothing area to adventurously place over urban enviroments and nature, which I then photographed. I firstly started photographing my surroundings inside Lichfield college. and then photographed the enviorment outside of the college; finding surroundings I thought would create unique design ideas. The cut out clothing area was replaced with natures beauty and urban enviroments which looked like a dress with nature and urban patterns on it. When photographing this over urban enviroments and nature, it created marvolous looks which will create futuristic design ideas. This would make a fabulously unique item of fashion with the natural urban patterns creating a peculiar yet significant look.
I wanted to capture architecture as well as nature as this will create peculiar yet unique design ideas. Some of the things I captured the illustration over were urban buildings, bricks, road signs and paths. This created an uncommon look which would make a fine futuristic item of fashion. I then began to photograph the illustration over nature and its natural beauty. Some of the things I photographed were different types of plants, flowers and textures growing on trees. This was a fabulous way of creating eye catching design ideas.
I particulary liked the photographs taken from the illustrations placed over trees as it created a camouflaged effect look. This creates various design ideas by mixing a camouflaged look (textured moss from the tree) with nature and an urban enviroment. I also liked the illustration photographed over flowers as it created a beautiful elegant look which would create artistic design ideas and would make a nature inspired item of fashion. Below is the illustration placed over a textured moss tree which mimicks a camouflage look.
